Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Home Health Nurse Administrator to lead and oversee the operations of our home health agency. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthcare management, possess strong leadership skills, and have a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance, staffing, and care coordination within home health services. Responsibilities Lead and manage the daily operations of the home health agency, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including HIPAA and healthcare standards. Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring services meet quality standards and patient satisfaction goals. Supervise nursing staff, case managers, and support personnel, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with best practices in home health care. Coordinate with physicians, hospitals, hospices, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and other healthcare providers to facilitate seamless patient transitions and comprehensive care plans. Monitor clinical outcomes, utilization management, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care efficiency and effectiveness. Manage staffing schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to maintain operational productivity while ensuring staff well-being. Oversee medical records management using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and ensure adherence to healthcare compliance standards. Skills Extensive experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; familiarity with acute care, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) environments is highly desirable. Proven leadership in supervising healthcare teams within home health agencies or similar settings; strong nurse management skills required. Deep understanding of medical terminology, healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, and medical records management. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and productivity software for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience in managing healthcare operations including budgeting, utilization management, case management, and quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge of hospice care principles along with assisted living, nursing home care, senior care services, and hospital medicine practices. Ability to lead healthcare staff effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement focused on patient safety and satisfaction. Strong organizational skills combined with technical proficiency in healthcare management tools; excellent communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
