Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current RN or LPN/LVN license, in good standing Experience in pediatric care or school nursing highly preferred Knowledge of common chronic and acute pediatric conditions (asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc.) Excellent clinical assessment and emergency response skills Strong communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and families Proficiency with medical documentation requirements in a school setting Ability to manage confidential student information with discretion and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat student health concerns, injuries, and illnesses during school hours Administer prescribed medications and treatments following healthcare plans Support students with chronic conditions (such as diabetes, allergies, or epilepsy) throughout the school day Serve as a liaison between school, families, and external healthcare providers as needed Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and safety topics Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Respond to health emergencies, providing timely and effective interventions Discover a rewarding opportunity to support students well-being and contribute to a positive school culture.
