Qualifications:
Current RN license, valid in the state of Illinois (or compact state eligibility) Minimum of one year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical setting BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to quickly adapt to new electronic medical record (EMR) systems and facility protocols
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a Medical-Surgical unit Monitor, assess, and document patients' status, and communicate changes to interdisciplinary teams Administer medications, manage IVs, perform wound care, and support physicians with procedures Educate patients and families, fostering a collaborative healthcare experience Maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient unit workflow
