Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in various nursing practices and the ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Assist with surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, including setting up instruments and equipment. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical process. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Document all aspects of patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care planning. Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control standards. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Ambulatory Experience Preferred. Experience in an Operating Room Must be a team player Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Candidates with additional experience in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pain management, or home care will be considered favorably.
