Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role supporting students' health and wellbeing in an engaging school setting. This exciting contract opportunity calls for a qualified CSN with strong RN skills to provide comprehensive health services onsite for the duration of the school year. You'll be pivotal in creating a safe, supportive environment where every student can thrive academically and physically.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operation of the health office, delivering direct care and managing student health needs. Conduct thorough medical reviews to ensure accurate documentation and support for students with specialized health plans. Collaborate as an integral member of Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 teams, assisting in the development and implementation of health-related accommodations. Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding student health issues, immunizations, and health education. Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines, communicating effectively with school professionals, parents, and the broader educational community.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license is required. Registered Nurse (RN) credentials with experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred. Excellent organization, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and compassion in interactions with students and staff. Must be available onsite and commit to full academic year dates: 8/10/26 - 5/21/27. Comfortable working 37.5 hours per week in a dynamic school environment.
