Qualifications & Experience:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Recent clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to cardiac emergencies Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Schedule/Hours:

Full-time contract position Variable shifts; weekend and holiday availability may be required

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients, including those recovering from complex cardiac surgery, heart failure, or myocardial infarctions Monitor vital signs, administer cardiac medications, and manage advanced life support equipment such as ventilators, balloon pumps, and invasive lines Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practitioners, and allied staff to implement treatment plans and respond proactively to changes in patient status Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and post-discharge care Accurately maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record
