Job Description

Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for an 8-week contract in the Fairfield, Mount Vernon, and Mount Carmel, IL area. This role offers up to $61/hour, night shift, 36 hours per week, and hospital-based emergency department experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute and emergent conditions Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical-care situations Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Educate patients and families about treatment and discharge plans Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency department protocols
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program Active Illinois RN license or ability to obtain prior to start Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification
Preferred Skills:
Current PALS certification preferred or required based on facility guidelines TNCC certification preferred Previous Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience strongly preferred
Qualifications:
You have an active Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS. You have emergency department experience and can handle critical care. You possess PALS or TNCC certification and thrive under pressure
