A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Pay Rate:
Up to $63/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change. Additional Bonuses, Group Health Insurance benefits available on day 1, 401k and more! Observation Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
Provides acute, short-term care to patients with a typical stay of 24-48 hours, often for conditions such as cardiac issues, general surgery or behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess IV sites every 4 hours. Must maintain documentation standards as evidenced passed by quarterly chart audits. Monitor vital signs and patient status. Identify change in patient status and respond appropriately. Administer medications and treatments, observing for reactions. Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Respond to emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures as needed.
Requirements:
RN license in state of assignment. BLS (AHA) required. Trauma 1 and EPIC experience required. Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required. Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.
Work Environment & Demands:
Rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
