Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students as a dedicated Registered Nurse in a vibrant school community. With hours from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, you'll enjoy a consistent daytime schedule that respects your work-life balance, all within a school committed to the well-being of its learners.
What you bring:
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license Prior experience as a school nurse required Experience working with pediatric populations, especially children with diabetes, g-tube, and seizure management is preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to student health and safety Willingness to collaborate with educational and health teams LPNs will not be considered for this position What you'll do: Oversee daily healthcare services for elementary-aged students, addressing routine injuries and illnesses as well as more complex needs Administer treatments and medications, including diabetes management, g-tube care, and seizure protocols Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and local health requirements Educate students and staff on wellness topics and chronic health condition management Serve as a key resource and advocate for student health, collaborating with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers as needed Enjoy the fulfillment that comes from creating a safe, healthy learning atmosphere for young students.
