Include:
Supporting building RNs and the IEP needs of the students The CSN will be helping to support a total of 3 elementary schools and 1 middle school Provide direct nursing care and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Develop and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and support student health needs. Administer medications and medical treatments in accordance with physician orders and state regulations. Conduct required health screenings, maintain student health records, and ensure immunization compliance. Collaborate with educators, families, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings by providing nursing assessments and health-related recommendations. Promote student wellness through health education, disease prevention, and staff training on medical procedures and emergency protocols.

Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
Hours:
8:30-3:30, Mondays through Fridays with the occasional 8:00-3:00 if based in middle school
Caseload:
Elementary and middle school age Successful Candidates Possess Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Support Personnel Endorsement - Certified School Nurse (CSN) required Current CPR/BLS certification required Knowledge of Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) regulations, IDEA, Section 504, and school health requirements preferred Strong clinical assessment, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Previous pediatric, public health, or school nursing experience preferred but not always required The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor Why Navra?
