About the Role The Registered Nurse ( RN ) Weekend Option at CarDon and Associates plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care during weekend shifts. This position focuses on providing direct resident care, ensuring resident comfort, and supporting the healthcare team in managing resident needs effectively. The Registered Nurse ( RN ) Weekend Option will be responsible for monitoring resident conditions, administering medications, and performing wound care with precision and compassion. Additionally, the role involves educating resident s and their families about health management and advocating for residents' rights and well-being. Ultimately, the Registered Nurse ( RN ) Weekend Option contributes to a safe, supportive, and healing environment that promotes positive health outcomes for all residents. Job Responsibilities Provide direct resident care including medication administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring during weekend shifts. Assess and document patient conditions, reporting any changes promptly to the healthcare team. Educate residents and their families on health maintenance, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions. Advocate for residents' needs and preferences, ensuring their rights and dignity are respected at all times . Collaborate with interdisciplinary team s to develop and implement individualized care plans. Minimum Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse ( RN ) license in the state of Indiana . Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in direct resident care, including medication administration and wound care. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team during weekend shifts. Preferred Qualifications Previous work experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
