IV Infusion Nurse
Job Description
The Center for Fully Functional Health is hiring experienced part-time nursing support for our state-of-the-art IV Lounge. If you are an enthusiastic and committed RN with at least 2-3 years IV therapy experience, we would love to hear from you! As our IV Infusion Nurse, you help patients feel comfortable and build relationships that encourage them to commit to their care. This means preparing and administering quality IVs; ensuring all safety and hygiene protocols are followed consistently; and making pleasant conversation with patients where you address any sales opportunities. The work takes place in our Carmel, IN, practice two days per week from 8AM to 5PM. We are happy to work with your schedule on which two days work best for you! We just ask that the days be as consistent as possible and are Monday-Thursday with our normal business hours. Your work will be a hands-on position, focused on following clinical best practices and making patients feel safe and supported. This includes providing compassionate, thorough hands-on patient care, as well as explaining service or procedure details and maintaining IV supply inventory. To succeed in this position, you will need strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail. As our IV Infusion Nurse, you are responsible for representing the values and mission of The Center for Fully Functional Health and creating an organized, compassionate patient experience. The relationships you build and the services you provide are integral to providing outstanding care for all of our IV therapy patients.
Primary Job Goals & Responsibilities:
Be on time and prepared to work to the highest standard with a positive attitude Approach obstacles or unexpected issues with a solution-oriented mindset Maintain detailed knowledge of all practice services, pricing, products, and marketing promotions in order to answer patient inquiries Prepare and administer IVs, including mixing IV bags; recording patient vitals; and starting and monitoring IVs Follow all safety and hygiene protocols consistently Communicate courteously and compassionately with patients, ensuring expectations are set for first-time patients, their needs are met, and sales opportunities are addressed Document and track all aspects of care, consulting and updating the schedule and EMR notes for each patient Ensure patients sign consent forms and are scheduled and invoiced correctly, communicating with patients or other staff members as needed Monitor inventory levels, order and stock supplies, and update IV Therapy SOPs as needed Maintain appropriate ongoing education, including CPR and ACLS training
