WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Advance practice of nursing by implementing innovative alternative solutions that address complex system problems and/or patient care issues. Serve as clinical expert in the delivery of perioperative patient care. Assist with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations. Integrate research into the perioperative clinical environment through the implementation of evidence-based practice. Develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate educational programs for perioperative patients and their families, staff, and the community. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, act as a change agent to develop system performance standards to improve perioperative patient outcomes. Perioperative Registered Nurse Experience

REQUIRED
Qualifications:

CNS Required

  • Certificate Post-Master's Degree CNS certificate if MSN was not focused on the application of the CNS role Required
  • Master's Degree Clinical focus program as a CNS Required
  • 3 years Clinical area of expertise
  • Surgical Experience Basic Life Support Program (BLS)
  • American Heart Association Registered Nurse (RN)
  • State Licensing Board Unit Specific Certifications
  • Franciscan Alliance As Required by Unit OR Qualifications CNS Intern
REQUIRED
  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree CNS program
REQUIRED
  • Must maintain continued enrollment and complete CNS program within 3 years to remain eligible for the CNS Intern position.
REQUIRED
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • State Licensing Board Basic Life Support Program (BLS)
  • American Heart Association Unit Specific Certifications
  • Franciscan Alliance As Required by Unit Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • American Heart Association As Required by Unit Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • American Heart Association As Required by Unit Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • The American Academy of Pediatrics As Required by Unit
