Job Description

Michigan City Legacy Campus 301 W. Homer Street Michigan City, Indiana 46360 The Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Coordinator
  • RN is responsible for conducting case review processes as outlined by the Indiana State Department of Health.
The FIMR Coordinator will outreach to providers, contact hospitals and physician practices to retrieve medical records for specified cases, and review records for each hospital and medical care provider.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Conduct maternal interviews, complete appropriate abstraction forms, prepare case summaries, and provide additional information on each case based on clinical interpretation of records. Aggregate summary data, track statistics, conduct analysis and complete standard reports as requested by Leadership. Assist with facilitation of case review meetings and assisting in the dissemination of program results to the community. Participate in community events support FIMR-developed community initiatives.   • typically Monday through Friday.
Some weekends may be required if attending a community event. No holiday requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Experience
  • OB, Maternal
  • Child, Pediatric or NICU. Proficient in Microsoft Offices preferred Required Registered Nurse (RN)
  • State Licensing Board
