A Cardiology Registered Nurse provides care for patients with heart problems. Performs cardiac tests and assessments, educates patients and families about cardiac disease and preventative health care, and cares for patients after heart surgery. Works with specialized monitoring and treatment equipment. Trained to provide emergency medical care to cardiac patients. Works under the supervision of a physician. Works in hospital cardiology or intensive care units or cardiac rehabilitation programs.

RN Details Essential Job Duties:
Assessment:
Conducts thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and discharge planning considerations.
Planning:
Collaborates on care plans, engages patients/families in goal setting.
Implementation:
Assists with patient care, respects rights, responds to emergencies, and educates patients.
Evaluation:
Applies rationale based on principles and seeks help to prevent errors.
Professional Conduct:
Demonstrates knowledge, maintains self-evaluation, follows policies, and participates in education and goal setting.
Qualifications:
Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program Must have active IN RN license Must have active BLS certification with AHA RN experience preferred
License/Certification:
