Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current RN license in Kansas Experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric populations preferred Expertise in managing complex medical needs and familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) CPR and First Aid certification required Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and healthcare providers Compassionate, patient-centered approach, especially when supporting medically fragile children

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver direct 1:1 care throughout the school day, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs as outlined in the students care plan Communicate promptly with families, school staff, and medical professionals regarding the students well-being and any changes in condition Ensure a safe environment, including managing and responding to medical emergencies Maintain detailed health records in compliance with confidentiality requirements and school policies Support the students educational experience by assisting with accommodations and participating in relevant meetings
