RN Urgent Care

Job Description

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned with an Urgent Care, X-ray, and MRI on site. Our hospital has been serving the Kansas City area for over 25 years. Our Urgent Care is a large part of the daily operations at the Hospital. Urgent Care is open Mondays-Fridays; 8:00am-7:00pm; and weekends from 10:00am-4:00pm. We have a dynamic and unique working environment with a 100% orthopedic case load. In this role you will work autonomously alongside an all-RN staff. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of ortho surgical, ER or Urgent Care experience. We're seeking an experienced, full-time nurse, (3) 12-hour shifts per week with an intermittent split on the weekend. The days of the week will vary.
Job Function:
Provide professional nursing care for Urgent Care patients following established standards and practices. This includes assisting providers and staff in coordinating patient care and functioning as a primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians. Responsible for patient and family education, keeping the unit clean and stocked, and electronic charting in the patients' medical record, splinting, DME application. Collaborate with the providers to ensure patient care is at its highest level.
