66204 Educates patients and families about disease processes and treatment plans. Maintains accurate and detailed patient documentation. Performs patient follow-up and consultations. Orders and maintains medical supplies within budget. Participates in professional growth through educational programs and workshops. Assists with clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations. Promotes and maintains high levels of patient satisfaction in all clinical areas. Develops and implements strategies to reduce turnover and improve onboarding of new hires. Facilitates leadership development and mentoring in nursing. Monitors and maintains compliance with budgets in all assigned cost centers. Accountable for monthly variance report with appropriate action plans. Facilitates annual budget reviews and capital review for assigned cost centers. Reviews and updates inpatient clinical policies and procedures and updates them annually. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities including the direct management of multiple departments throughout the hospital. [Required] Strong management skills and experience with an emphasis on change and the ability to develop consensus from independent parties to achieve the goals of the system. [Required] Demonstrates knowledge of organizational chain-of-command and follows as appropriate for assigned unit decision-making. [Required] Demonstrates knowledge and improvement in patient flow with strong track record in demonstrating improvement in HCAHPS, quality, and ED flow measures. [Required] Demonstrates knowledge of strategic and financial planning and management. [Required] Demonstrates knowledge of standards related to the clinical practice. [Required] Delegation skills necessary. [Required] Ability to multi-task is essential. [Required] Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations. [Required] Strong detail orientation required. [Required] Computer skills required. [Required] Adept as a change agent. [Required] Commitment to the advancement of Nursing practice and the nursing profession. [Required] Commitment to staff education and development. [Required] Demonstrated knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in the Florida State Professional Nurse Practice Act. [Required] The Executive Director of Inpatient Care Services is recognized as a key management and leadership position within the hospital organization. This position assumes responsibility in translating the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital to the Patient Care Services division and implementing effective actions. Responsibility is centralized into four major areas: patient care management, personnel management, education and unit management. Has delegated authority in these areas for the respective patient care units: medical, surgical, critical care units, and respiratory services added with facility growth. [Required]

Education:

Bachelor's of Nursing Master's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing or heath care related field. in Nursing or healthcare

Work Experience:

3+ years in a director position with oversight of multiple units in an acute care hospital setting. [Required] Previous in-patient unit management. [Required]
