!!! MFC is looking for a FT RN for day shift (6a-6p) We offer competitive wages, shift differential and sign-on bonuses. All weekend hours receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Hours worked on 2nd shift receive $1.50 per hour and 3rd shift receive a $3.00 shift differential. Please apply today!!ROLE:
Responsible for performing periodic and acute physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional assessments of resident condition and implements appropriate actions. Supervises staff working in designated unit.GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Care 1. Has knowledge of each resident's diagnosis and current condition in Health Care unit. 2. Responds to emergency calls throughout the Manor campus as necessary. 3. Makes daily rounds on unit's residents. 4. Carries pager and answers call lights and resident alarms promptly. 5. Participates in actual care of residents as necessary. 6. Makes assessments and initiates solutions to problems. 7. Assists in the coordination of laboratory work, x-ray work, and physician's appointments as ordered by physician. May make rounds with physicians. 8. Oversees dining room routine. 9. Assesses and seeks treatment for employees injured at work. Recordkeeping/Communication 10. Assists in the development of a plan of care individualized for each resident. 11. Assures that each resident's plan of care is implemented, evaluated, and up to date. 12. Ensures direct care staff are informed of residents plan of care. 13. Attends resident's care plan meetings as able and documents quarterly progress. 14. Assists in completing designated section of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) assessment for each resident in a timely manner as assigned. 15. Assures that adequate documentation is completed on admissions, dismissals, transfers, medication reviews, monthly summaries, discharge summaries, medication and treatment orders, and physician orders. 16. Supervises, administers, and documents medications and treatments ordered on each resident and assures that needed supplies are available. 17. Notifies physicians, Campus Pastor, Social Work or Life Enhancement Coordinators, and/or family as necessary based on resident's condition/desires. 18. Initiates Resident Change Form and reports status changes and emergencies to Director(s) of Nursing or designee and front office. 19. Identifies education needs resident or family and provides necessary teaching and completes the documentation as appropriate. 20. Refers all incident reports to Risk Manager and any skin issues/wounds to Infection Control Nurse. 21. Cooperates with ancillary departments, i.e., rehabilitation, occupational therapy, social services, activities, dietary, beauty shop, and maintenance in providing optimum level of care for the resident. 22. Initiates environmental changes that are needed (change of room arrangement, additional cleaning, etc.). Safety 23. Uses gait belts and/or mechanical lifts as appropriate and in accordance with policy and procedure. Supervisory/Administrative 24. Supervises and evaluates the work of CMAs and CNAs in the care of residents and provides assistance to DON(s) with performance evaluations of direct care staff as needed. 25. Creates an atmosphere of team building and working together. 26. Assesses daily assignments and makes appropriate changes. 27. Informs supervisor of staffing problems or concerns. 28. Assists finding replacement staff for call-ins. Other Duties 29. Performs other duties as assigned.CORE ATTRIBUTES & EXPECTATIONS

Assists in developing creative and innovative ideas to increase efficiency, effectiveness and increased customer satisfaction.QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Six months of related experience is preferred.Education:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Kansas.Skills:
Enthusiasm, courtesy, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others to achieve desired outcomes.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, and bending, as well as frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.Job Type:
