Job Summary and Qualifications A member of the Oncology team assumes primary responsibilities for designing, planning, developing, providing, and evaluating the Oncology programs' performance standards based upon the Commission on Cancer, and other Accrediting boards' recommendations for quality as it relates to maintaining Oncology Accreditations. In addition, this position will have direct and primary oversight for Oncology related performance improvement activities which are concordant with the Institute of Medicine's six quality aims for patient care: safe, effective, patient centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. This position will collaborate with the Oncology Program Director. This position will also collaborate with the Oncology Director and other program leaders to support the oncology requirements for accreditations through supporting locally-developed studies, multi-center studies and facility registry studies as this nursing position participates in the improvement of care for oncology patients.
What qualifications you will need:
Required Registration, Licensure or Certification Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi-State Licensure as a Registered Nurse Required Education or Experience Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Preferred Education or Experience Provider relations Program management or program development Experience in Radiology, or Oncology Required Knowledge and Skills Computer skills Clinical knowledge appropriate to Oncology Medical Terminology Ability to relate and communicate with all levels of personnel/vendors/clients Preferred Knowledge and Skills Clinical nursing experience in Oncology related clinical areas Knowledge of Tumors and Different Cancer Types.
