Operating Room Nurse Loftus Plastic Surgery Center Fort Wright, KY Job Details Part-time | PRN From $26 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Medication administration OR experience Outpatient Emergency medicine Emergency room experience Nursing Full Job Description We seek a nurse with experience in of the following areas: Labor and Delivery, Emergency Department, Operating Room, or Recovery Room to work in our small outpatient plastic surgery facility. Do not worry about whether you know anything about plastic surgery or the operating room, as we will teach you everything you need to know. All you need to do is have the right attitude. You may think it is odd that we are willing to hire nurses who have never worked in an operating room previously, but we have found that it is more important to hire a nurse with the right attitude and mindset (confident self-starter) than a nurse who has the exact experience. We seek a part-time nurse to work 1-4 Tuesdays each month. The nurse we hire will fill one or more of the following roles (and we will train you if you have never done this before): • Admit patients prior to surgery, performing brief assessment, starting IV, and administering pre-operative medications, as prescribed by the surgeon; recover and discharge patients. • Circulate in the operating room. Our experience has shown that nurses who have experience in OB, Emergency Room, Operating Room, and Recovery Room fit this role well.
