3 Description American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience and KY or compact RN licensure. Details Work in the 3 South Stepdown unit with 1:4/5 patient ratios Night shift schedule (3x12 and 4x12 rotating, 19:00-7:30) 36/48 rotating schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period Meditech charting system preferred Float required within scope of practice Every other weekend required Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated Requirements Active KY or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience required Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management preferred Experience with IV therapy, central and peripheral line care preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Two professional references required, one from a Charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year Valid driver's license required with address matching permanent address Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case Additional Information Provide care to stepdown patients including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and renal cases Monitor and manage telemetry, dysrhythmias, and utilize rapid response/code teams as needed Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted Must work either a major or minor holiday shift for every holiday Candidates must live within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after completing one year in the system before returning Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unitCareer Insights for PCU / Stepdown Registered Nurse
