PM Experience:
12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience. 3 months of travel experience is required. Experience with Epic is required. ADN completion required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted. Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted. No current placement allowed at

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 1 travel assignment required.
- Recent Epic experience required.
Unit Details:
- Patient population includes general med/surg cases such as gallbladder, colectomy, appendectomy, hip/knee replacements/ORIFs, Covid, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, sepsis, UTI, and respiratory patients.
- Required skills include PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (heparin, cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote tele, blood product administration, and NIHSS/dysphagia screen.
- Ratios: days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-7. Charge nurse takes a full assignment on nights and may take patients on days.
- May require precepting students and new hires.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every third weekend.
- Every other holiday.
- Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48-hour contracts accepted upon request.
- Orientation week hours may vary; weekly hours may also vary during holidays when the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float within skill set.
May float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and potentially Deaconess Midtown (IN); 2-hour notice for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. 14 days maximum time off 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months Proof of identification required
