1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele-PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license. Details Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 Uses Meditech EMR Night shift schedule with 3x12 and 4x12 rotating weeks (19:00-7:30) Works an 84 hours per two-week schedule (36/48 rotating) Floating required within scope of practice Every other weekend required Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated Requirements Active RN license (KY State or Compact) in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of current MS/Telemetry-PCU experience required Driver's license required with address matching permanent address Two professional references required: one Charge or Higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year Copy of certifications required for consideration Additional Information Provide nursing care to patients in a progressive care/stepdown telemetry unit Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted Facility will consider up to 7 days of RTO, which must be presented upfront with no changes accepted Must work either a major or minor shift of every holiday Traveler pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit Travelers may only apply to one position at a time After working one year, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return First-time travelers are not required for this position
