1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care/ED Float RN to provide flexible nursing coverage across ICU, ED, Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Observation units, requiring ED or ICU experience along with Med-Surg/Tele background. Details Float pool role covering ICU, ED, three Med-Surg/Telemetry units, and three Transitional Care/Observation units Float assignments determined shift-by-shift by the Clinical House Supervisor based on hospital capacity and needs Night shift, 7PM-7AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) Requires flexibility to work across multiple clinical settings based on patient census and staffing needs Requirements Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred Experience in either ED or ICU required, along with Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing experience Strong critical-thinking skills and clinical competence across varied care settings Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy Deliver safe, high-quality patient care across a wide range of acuity levels and settings Facilitate discharge processes, coordinating with case management and other team members Provide input on patient/nurse assignments based on staffing, acuity, and unit activity Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members Promote a positive team environment and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
