Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Encompass Health, seeks a Day Shift RN to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult inpatients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. The RN will complete assessments, develop and update care plans, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team. This role supports patient and family education, documents accurately in the EMR, promotes safety, and contributes to quality outcomes in a mission-driven, collaborative environment focused on independence and recovery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations for adult rehab patients Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in condition Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate rehab goals Provide patient and family education on condition, treatment, and discharge planning Document care and progress accurately in the EMR and follow hospital policies Promote a safe environment, adhering to infection control and fall prevention practices Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit initiatives Required Skills Patient assessment Care planning Medication administration Rehabilitation nursing Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Wound care IV therapy and infusion management Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education
