$37.35/hour Schedule Information 12:00 PM-12:00 AM 12-hour shifts Emergency Department RN Requirements Active RN license valid in Kentucky Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Minimum of two years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience Strong emergency-assessment and triage skills Ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition Experience administering medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments Strong clinical-documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients. Perform rapid and ongoing assessments and prioritize patients according to acuity. Monitor vital signs and changes in patients' conditions. Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments. Assist with emergency and lifesaving procedures. Collect specimens and prepare patients for diagnostic testing. Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Educate patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Follow all patient-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
