2 years of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Competitive pay packages Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with law Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Provide direct patient care for diverse cases including stroke, cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical patients Manage patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications including titratable drips (support requested for experienced gtts management) Utilize EMR systems (Meditech Expanse) for documentation and orders Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including hospitalists, RT, therapy, and specialist teams Support patient education and discharge planning Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment adhering to hospital protocols Respond promptly to emergency situations and follow established proceduresWhat You Need Required:
Valid RN license for Louisiana 2 years of hospital RN experience in an acute care settingBLS, ACLS, NIH
Stroke Certification Ability to pass EKG competency examPreferred:
Experience with chest tube management, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, or CSF drains Ability to support titratable medication management (e.g., Cardene, Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin) About the Assignment This assignment is at a well-regarded hospital in Shreveport, offering a diverse patient population with acute and subacute needs. You'll work on the PCU, providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care during a 12-week contract, with options for time off as per policy. The unit features modern equipment including Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems, with full support from an experienced healthcare team.
