Provide high-quality care to adult patients in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting, including those with sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op cases such as joint replacements and abdominal surgeries Monitor and assess patient conditions using EMR (Meditech Expanse); document accurately and promptly Administer medications and therapies, including wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, PCA, and pain management; support complex patient needs Collaborate with healthcare team members, including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST Float to other Med/Surg units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and excellent clinical judgment Pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival, demonstrating strong cardiac assessment skills Support unit operations as a charge nurse and assist with patient and charting responsibilitiesWhat You Need:
Active Louisiana RN license ValidBLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience, with demonstrated wound management and IV skills Ability to pass an EKG competency exam Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg and telemetry care, including complex patient management Excellent teamwork and communication skills About theAssignment:
