Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting the health and wellness of students in a dynamic school district in the New Orleans area. You'll serve as an integral member of your assigned school community, collaborating with educators, students, and families to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. The role starts as soon as possible and continues through May 27, 2027, working 35 hours a week with a consistent MondayFriday schedule and a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. You may be assigned to one or two campuses, based on where your expertise is most needed.

Ideal candidates bring:

An active RN license (ASN required; BSN preferred) Prior school nursing experience strongly preferred Comfort managing trachs, g-tubes, diabetic care, and performing health screenings Excellent record-keeping and familiarity with IEP processes Strong communication skills; ability to train and delegate to non-medical staff Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets A willingness to accept placement where needed (East Bank or West Bank assignments) Passion for working with children and investing in student well-being Responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive nursing care to students (Pre-K through 12 as assigned) Administering medications, developing care plans, and monitoring chronic conditions Training school staff in health procedures and care protocols Keeping accurate health records and participating in IEP meetings Communicating effectively with students, parents, and district staff Adhering to all district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting Ready to make a meaningful impact in a school setting?
