MedSurg RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients. MedSurg RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: MedSurg RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications Initiate alternative action when adverse symptomology is displayed Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs when necessary
