Artist Don't Wear My Glasses Jefferson, LA Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $14 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Sewing Embroidery Hair styling Stitching Garment construction Full Job Description Part-Time & Full-Time Bead Artist - New Orleans Don't Wear My Glasses™ is looking for a detail-oriented student, aspiring artist, or experienced maker to join our jewelry production team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, creating beautiful pieces, and takes pride in precision craftsmanship. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently without sacrificing quality . Our production work requires someone who is comfortable working with small materials, has excellent hand skills, and can learn and repeat designs quickly and consistently.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Available to work part-time or full-time Organized, reliable, dependable, and punctual Patient and highly detail-oriented Comfortable working with small materials and intricate beadwork Able to work quickly and efficiently with beads Able to tie tight, secure knots Comfortable learning repetitive production techniques and maintaining consistent quality Able to follow instructions, work independently, and stay focused Has reliable transportation to our studio
Preferred Experience Includes:
Stringing beads and creating necklaces Beading and jewelry construction Crimping and professionally finishing necklaces and bracelets Tying secure knots Using wire guards and jewelry findings Installing clasps on necklaces and bracelets Making earrings and other handcrafted jewelry Embroidery Hobby-level or professional jewelry-making experience Transferable Creative Skills We are especially interested in applicants with strong hands-on skills from other creative or beauty-related fields. Experience in any of the following is a plus : Production design or other hands-on production work (e.g., wardrobe & props) African American hairstyling, braiding, or intricate hair design Acrylic nail application and nail art/design Fashion, textiles, sewing, embroidery, or other detailed handwork Other crafts or artistic work requiring precision, dexterity, and speed You do not need to have formal jewelry-making experience to apply. If you have demonstrated strong hand skills and experience creating detailed work in another field, we want to see what you can do.
