Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Psych Job Type Contract This opportunity calls for experienced Registered Nurses (RN-Psych) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who are passionate about providing quality psychiatric and behavioral health care. Work in a dynamic healthcare environment supporting individuals in need of comprehensive psychiatric services. The position is offered on a contract basis, requiring adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and a dedication to compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health diagnoses. Conduct thorough patient assessments and record observations accurately. Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to patient needs promptly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and ongoing care requirements. Maintain strict adherence to facility safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation activities as necessary. Document all patient interactions and treatments clearly in compliance with facility standards.
Desired Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN or LPN license. Previous psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and therapeutic communication. Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong documentation and electronic health record skills. CPR/BLS certification required.
