Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, from acute care to long-term management, empowering patients on their journey to wellness. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques, including IV infusions, medication administration, and injection procedures. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable. Manage acute pain and critical care situations utilizing advanced skills in airway management, ventilator operation, and trauma medicine within Level I or Level II trauma center environments. Provide specialized care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care residents, and neonatal or pediatric ICU patients. Coordinate discharge planning, case management efforts, and patient education to ensure seamless transitions of care across settings such as home care, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to ICD coding standards (ICD-9/ICD-10), MDS requirements for long-term care facilities, and NCQA standards for quality assurance. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state-specific registration requirements. Proven experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with EMR/EHR management is preferred. Demonstrated clinical expertise in areas such as emergency medicine, ICU/critical care experience, cardiac catheterization support, dialysis nursing, or hospice & palliative medicine is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols. Ability to perform complex patient assessments including vital signs monitoring, trauma response procedures (Level I/II trauma experience), and critical care interventions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or home health environments. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or specialized training in wound suturing or ostomy care are advantageous.
