A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Registered Nurse Location:
Agawam Sunshine Village, a non-profit organization provides day habilitation and community services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our staff has a tremendous amount of respect for the individuals we serve and bring a sense of accountability to everything we do. We're seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. Responsible for but not limited to: providing professional nursing care through skillful assessment and evaluation, medication administration, diabetic care, g-tube feedings, nursing services, documenting individual's progress, and communicating with healthcare providers and residences.
The successful candidate must have:
a current nursing license by the Massachusetts Board of Registration; experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus; strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet time demands; excellent oral communication and written skills, ability to lift up to 30 lbs comfortably, valid driver's license and their own reliable vehicle; able to pass a CORI and Fingerprinting. Must travel to all Sunshine Village sites (Chicopee, Agawam and Three Rivers)
Amazing Hours:
35 hours per week, 9:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday. No On-Call, Weekends or Overtime!
Salary:
$51.50/hour
