Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Travel Advance your nursing career by providing expert, compassionate care to newborns in a specialized neonatal intensive care unit. This contract position offers the opportunity to utilize your advanced nursing skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to the health and well-being of the smallest and most vulnerable patients.
Schedule:
Three 12-hour night shifts per week
Qualifications:
Current and active RN license Recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Proficient in neonatal resuscitation and responding effectively in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff Commitment to delivering patient-centered, family-focused care
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care for critically ill neonates, monitoring vital signs and assessing for changes in condition Administer medications, fluids, and treatments in accordance with protocols and physician orders Operate life-support equipment and assist with procedures such as intubation and central line placement Support and educate families during their NICU stay, promoting bonding and involvement in care Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interventions and responses Adhere to evidence-based practices, safety protocols, and infection control standards
