Job Description:
Position OverviewThe Unit-Based Nurse Educator provides dedicated education and competency support for the 6 Central Transplant Unit.In this role, you will partner with:
- Nursing leadership
- Physicians
- Interdisciplinary teamsYou will support:
- Unit-based orientation
- Ongoing education and competency validation
- Regulatory compliance and quality initiativesYou will also serve as a clinical and educational resource for frontline nursing staff.
- Facilitate orientation for new transplant unit nursing staff
- Coordinate and maintain annual education requirements, including regulatory and competency-based training
- Provide education related to transplant care and advanced surgical recovery
- Support competency validation and ongoing clinical skill development
- Collaborate with leadership to support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
- Serve as a clinical resource for evidence-based practice
- Promote professional growth and a culture of continuous learning
- Provide flexibility for occasional nights and weekends to meet unit needs

What You'll NeedRequired:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 3 years of cardiac specialty nursing experience
Preferred:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in education, training, or staff developmentClinical expertise:
