Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a valued role supporting students and faculty as a Registered Nurse in a vibrant high school setting. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful difference as part of a dedicated health services team. The assignment runs from ASAP for up to 12 weeks, covering 35 hours per week, with workdays from 7:15am to 2:15pm. You'll be collaborating closely with other skilled RNs and LPNs to ensure the well-being of the entire school community.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (required) Previous school nursing experience or pediatric care background highly preferred Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to student health needs Compassionate communicator, able to relate effectively with adolescents, parents, and school staff Organized, attentive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Proficiency in maintaining health records and adhering to confidentiality guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care for student illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions Dispense medications and administer treatments per physician orders and district protocols Collaborate with a team of nurses to monitor and support student health throughout the school day Serve as a resource for health education, prevention, and wellness initiatives Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive, supportive environment for students This role positions you at the heart of school life, upholding student safety and health as part of a multi-nurse team.
