Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans. Manage acute and chronic illnesses across various specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and internal medicine. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to sterile techniques. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Athena, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and case management strategies. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and deliver timely medical advice remotely. Engage in clinical research initiatives to stay at the forefront of medical advancements and evidence-based practices. Requirements Valid State license with current certification from an accredited program. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing. Hands-on experience with procedures like suturing, venipuncture, catheter care, intubation assistance (ventilators), and sterile processing techniques. Critical care experience or Level I/II trauma center background highly preferred. Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively across urgent care or emergency settings. Familiarity with specialty areas such as gastroenterology, hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, or geriatrics is a plus. Ability to work with diverse populations including children, seniors in memory or assisted living facilities, individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
