Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Painter to join our team and help maintain the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing residential painting and various maintenance tasks across the nursing home, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in facilities maintenance while contributing to the comfort of our residents. Responsibilities Perform maintenance painting throughout the facility, including walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures using appropriate techniques for residential environments. Conduct repairs on building interior surfaces, including drywall patching, sanding, priming, and painting. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for carpentry, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and other maintenance tasks. Maintain plumbing systems by inspecting, repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper operation of plumbing systems. Troubleshoot electrical equipment repair needs using schematics and ohmmeters; perform electrical work following safety standards. Support HVAC system repair and routine maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the building. Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues with facilities equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, or electrical components. Assist with plumbing system maintenance and repair to prevent disruptions in water supply or drainage. Maintain facilities equipment by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO). Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters. Experience with residential painting techniques and building interior maintenance. Knowledge of plumbing systems including maintenance and repair of pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems. Familiarity with HVAC system repair procedures and troubleshooting methods. Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Electrical experience including equipment repair and troubleshooting using schematics. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Leadership qualities to coordinate tasks efficiently within a team setting.
