Jobs › Norwood, MA › Utilities Maintenance Technician Insight Global Utilities Maintenance Technician Norwood, MA Apply Job Description The Senior Utility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical site utilities supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role owns uptime and troubleshooting for RODI systems, pH neutralization, HVAC/AHUs, chilled/hot water, compressed air, inert gases, vacuum, lab/process exhaust, and hydronic systems. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, BMS troubleshooting and trending, pump/motor maintenance, plumbing and piping repairs, SOP development, CMMS documentation, contractor oversight, inventory management, and ensuring safe, compliant utility operations within a regulated GMP environment.
Compensation:
$49/hr to $52.08/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.   • 5+ years supporting utilities in a pharma, biotech, or GMP environment
  • RODI generation & distribution systems experience
  • pH neutralization systems experience
HVAC/AHU
troubleshooting (air handling, exhaust, valves, sensors, VFDs)
  • BMS/controls troubleshooting and trend analysis
  • Ability to read P&IDs, one-lines, and O&M manuals
  • Pumps & motors (alignments, seals, bearings, VFDs)
  • Plumbing & piping (valves, pressure testing, line breaks)
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (controls, sensors, VFDs)
  • CMMS experience (work orders, asset history, inventory) Experience with chilled water, hot water, compressed air, vacuum, and hydronic systems
  • MA Wastewater Operator License (Grade II+)
  • Boiler Operator License
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Advanced BMS controls experience
  • RODI sanitization, TOC, conductivity, and micro trending
  • Utility SOP/MOP development
  • Contractor oversight and equipment commissioning
