Job Description

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ICU Nurse to provide high-acuity care to critically ill children in a fast-paced intensive care setting. In this travel/contract role, you'll assess and monitor pediatric patients, manage ventilators and complex drips, administer medications, and respond to emergencies. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team while supporting and educating families. Responsibilities Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the ICUAdminister medications, treatments, and ventilator support per provider orders and protocols Continuously monitor vital signs, labs, and clinical status; promptly recognize and escalate changes Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams on care plans Support and educate families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all safety and infection-control standards Precept and support fellow travel and unit nurses as needed Required Skills Pediatric ICU nursing Pediatric assessment and triage Ventilator and respiratory management Hemodynamic monitoring IV therapy and central line management PALS and emergency response skills Medication administration and titration Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Infection prevention and control Family education and communication
