Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a general school nurse in a vibrant educational environment. This position focuses on the well-being of approximately 540 young learners enrolled in PreK through 3rd grade. You'll support a caring culture, collaborating with staff and families to ensure each student's health and safety are prioritized every school day. The role runs from now through December 1, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 35 hours per week from 8:15am to 3:15pm. Working with young children, you'll be at the heart of daily school life, creating a positive impact behind the scenes and directly in the classroom.

Essential Qualifications:

Current, valid RN license Demonstrated experience with tube-feeding, catheter care, and diabetic management Familiarity with health needs specific to pediatric populations Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents Organizational skills in maintaining accurate health records and emergency preparedness

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver routine and emergency nursing care for PreK-3rd grade students Administer and manage medications, specialized healthcare procedures, and daily treatments as needed Monitor and address chronic health conditions, including diabetes management Coordinate and communicate with faculty, families, and external healthcare providers Educate students and staff in basic health and wellness practices Maintain meticulous records in compliance with all regulations and school policies Promote a healthy, inclusive environment for every student This contract allows you to shape young lives while gaining rich pediatric and educational nursing experiences.
