What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
- Implementing Patient First's policies and procedures;
- Offering quality nursing care and generating a genuinely warm and friendly atmosp for patients and employees;
- Providing nursing care in the ambulatory setting to individual patients and families;
- Using sound judgment when administering medical care and screening patients;
- Administering medications and knowing correct dosage, actions, and side effects of each medication administered;
- Assisting the physician in all emergency cases;
- Providing positive, warm and friendly customer service in all interactions;
- Fostering teamwork and a positive, professional atmosp;
- Completing other duties as directed.
- Employee must be at least 18 years of age;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Keyboarding experience required;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- One year of clerical experience preferred;
- One year of clinical experience with administration of medications preferred;
- Licensed to practice as a Nurse in the state of Maryland.
Salary Range:
$37.50- $43.
