A dedicated, full-time Registered Nurse is needed to support high school students requiring one-to-one medical care in an educational setting, both in transit and at school. This role offers the chance to work closely with students with diverse medical needs and ensures a safe, supportive environment for their learning journey.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Nurse license required (out-of-state licenses accepted; assistance for Maryland licensure available) Experience with high school-aged students preferred Proficient in G-tube feeding, seizure monitoring, administering oxygen, nebulizer treatments, suctioning, and general nursing responsibilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide two professional references
Responsibilities:
Ride the bus with students from their homes to school and back, offering essential medical support during transit Deliver consistent, compassionate one-to-one nursing care throughout the school day Support an assigned student within the school setting and cover care for another student in Talbot County when needed Monitor health status, administer medications, and respond appropriately to medical needs or emergencies Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care provided Collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure students well-being
Additional Details:
Full-time hours, approximately 37 hours per week Typical schedule: 6:30 am 3:30/4:00 pm (occasionally until 5:00/5:30 pm) Prompt start date available Bring your expertise and compassion to a dynamic educational environment where your role truly matters.
