Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) About the Opportunity NurseAmerica is seeking compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Providers to join a well-established, multi-site oncology and hematology practice in Columbia, MD. This opportunity offers the chance to work with oncology and hematology patients in either an outpatient or hospital-based setting , depending on your experience and the needs of the care team. You will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the treatment journey. Key Responsibilities Depending on the assigned role and clinical setting, responsibilities may include: Provide comprehensive care to oncology and hematology patients in outpatient and/or hospital-based settings Conduct patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations Manage symptoms, treatment side effects, and supportive care needs Round on hospitalized oncology and hematology patients and respond to inpatient consults as needed Participate in treatment planning, care coordination, and discharge planning Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care Communicate with outpatient and inpatient teams to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record Participate in shared call coverage, including weekends and holidays, when assigned to the hospital-based role Qualifications Active NP or PA license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies Oncology or hematology experience preferred Candidates with strong experience in related specialties may also be considered for the outpatient opportunity Hospital-based, acute care, or inpatient oncology/hematology experience is strongly preferred for hospital-based roles Current BLS certification required ACLS certification is preferred for outpatient candidates and required for hospital-based candidates Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently while collaborating within a physician-led, multidisciplinary care model What's Offered Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus Competitive base salary ranging, based on experience and role Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer contribution Paid time off and holidays CME allowance Paid professional licensure and certification Malpractice coverage NurseAmerica is managing this search on behalf of our client.
