Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and immunizations, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, wound care, dialysis management, and ventilator support in accordance with clinical guidelines. Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with case management teams to facilitate smooth transitions of care for patients in settings like hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Respond promptly to triage calls and urgent patient needs in emergency medicine or urgent care settings while prioritizing acute pain management and critical care interventions. Support specialized areas including cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatments), infectious disease care, behavioral health, geriatrics (memory and dementia care), neonatal resuscitation procedures, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), and pediatric units such as PICU or neonatal ventilator support. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations across settings such as hospital medicine, critical & intensive care units (ICU), emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities. Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, physiology principles, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care. Skilled in performing invasive procedures including venipuncture (phlebotomy), IV insertion/infusion therapy, specimen collection/processing, tube feeding management, ostomy care, and spinal taps. Ability to handle complex cases involving trauma medicine, occupational health issues—including Workers' Compensation law—and hospice & palliative medicine. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; adept at providing compassionate memory/dementia or Alzheimer's/Dementia care. Capable of managing acute pain scenarios using appropriate medication administration strategies; familiar with laboratory testing procedures and diagnostic evaluations.
