Pay:

$55/hr We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in emergency nursing, patient assessment, and managing patients across all age groups, from infants to geriatric populations. This opportunity is suitable for experienced ER nurses who can adapt quickly, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring in the Emergency Department. Provide nursing care to patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Recognize changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Manage multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency care environment. Support patient stabilization, treatment, and transitions to appropriate levels of care. Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency department protocols. Float within the specialty as required. Requirements Active Maryland RN license. Previous Emergency Department nursing experience; 2 years preferred. Candidates with less than 2 years may be considered with a strong skill set. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI certifications required. First-time travelers are welcome. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills. Ability to work in a high-volume emergency care setting.

Schedule Mid shifts:

11:00 AM - 11:30 PM. 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour schedules accepted. Every other weekend required. Holidays required as scheduled. Floating within the specialty required. On-call is not required. Patient Care Environment Emergency Department with approximately 47 beds. Average daily census of approximately 130 patients.

Typical nurse-to-patient ratio:

1:4. Patient population includes infants through geriatric patients. Non-trauma-center emergency care environment.

Additional Information Contract duration:

13 weeks, with potential consideration for extensions up to 20 weeks for candidates with strong experience. Local candidates may be considered; local compensation is subject to confirmation. BI01
