Job Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day administrative and operational oversight of the SMCDRC healthcare program. Coordinate and oversee healthcare professionals and overall healthcare service delivery. Serve as the primary liaison with the COR/COTR and the single point of accountability for the healthcare program. Oversee staffing, scheduling, relief coverage, recruitment, orientation, training, and personnel assignments. Ensure healthcare personnel maintain required Maryland licenses, certifications, DEA information, and applicable board certifications. Monitor compliance with NCCHC Standards, Maryland requirements, and SMCDRC requirements. Coordinate clinical, emergency, mental health, MOUD, pharmacy, ancillary, specialty, and outside healthcare services. Monitor continuity of care, healthcare documentation, medical records, and patient services. Participate in required Classification Committee and Interdisciplinary Team activities. Monitor healthcare quality, performance, compliance, and corrective actions. Maintain required staffing and credentialing records and submit monthly reports to the COTR. Coordinate healthcare operations during emergencies, staffing disruptions, and other service-delivery challenges. Maintain effective communication with the County, detention center administration, custody personnel, healthcare staff, and external providers.
