MEDSTAR HEALTH
is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this mission-driven, collaborative environment, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations while coordinating with physicians and allied health professionals. RNs will utilize evidence-based practices, advanced clinical technology, and electronic health records, while mentoring staff and supporting continuous quality improvement, safety, and patient education across our regional health system. Responsibilities Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy safely and accurately Monitor, document, and report changes in patient status using the EHRCollaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams on care coordination Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards Participate in quality improvement, clinical initiatives, and best-practice adoption Precept, mentor, and support new nurses and support staff as needed Contribute to a patient-first, mission-driven, and culturally competent environment Required Skills Patient assessment and triage Care planning and care coordination IV therapy and medication administration Wound care and dressing changes Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation (e.g., Epic, Cerner) Infection prevention and control Patient and family education Clinical decision-making and critical thinking Emergency response and
